The Peak at TPY

We went on a sweltering Sunday afternoon. Even though there were about 60 flat-viewers in the queue before us, it wasn't long before it was our turn.

Like what the media had reported, the response was overwhelming! And it is very near the TPY central; from our desired block 138B it was a mere 5 mins walk to the MRT exit C I think. Imagine doing away with all the feeder buses!

Of course there is a hefty price to pay for such conveniences. A 4-room, 91sqm, 11 storey unit costs around 468k - 479k. Anything higher than 20 storeys will be close to half a mil. This time round, I mustered enough courage to snap some pictures of the interior. Pardon the awkward angle for some of the pics, I had to act like I was making a phone call just to make sure I wouldn't get caught.

A 5-room with 2.6m tall ceiling
Only available for the 20th and 21st level units
and I think the last floor.

Balcony with sliding door.

Corridor of the 4-room unit.

Master Bedroom

Master Bedroom Bathroom.
Unlike the spacious bathroom of the Natura Loft's,
this one couldn't fit a bathtub.

Toilet Bowl, Basin and mirror provided.
Uncle in mirror sold separately.

Dear commented that it is impossible to place a makeup table as there was a serious space constraint issue. The bay window was another problem too, you will need to customize the frame of the bed to sit on the same level as it. Possibility of hacking the wall between the Master and the room beside it will be subjected to HDB's approval!

Some flooring options for the rooms.

Oh, did I mention that the floor tiles for the living will be homosexual homogeneous? The flooring in the rooms will be either wood or some other materials that I'm sure is sturdy enough to stand on. Damn, other than Madame Tussaud's, I hate wax! I might even have to make it a point not to drink any water in the room.

A very common looking Common bathroom

You must be thinking why after sneakily taking so many pics, no agents came forward to stop me. So heck lah, I don't give a damn already.

Thus the 自恋 pic below, with Dear as my 'molel '.

The basin looks pretty cool,
but the tap needs some configuration though.

Lightings also not bad.

The standard wardrobe that will be provided.

The bedroom with the intolerable bay windows.

Wa this young family with kid sure have priority one.

The Kitchen's washing area

The kitchen is pathetically small, one person can walk through the kitchen with the fridge and stove brushing against your shoulder (if you have a shoulder length of 1 meter that is). I didn't really have the chance to check out the kitchen also as the agents kept on yelling at us to move faster. Certainly I felt like a recruit being yelled at by a sergeant.

A view of the construction site, flanked by Lorong 2

We guess the location of the two flats that are going to be built here are the best, as they are nearer to the MRT exit. I took the liberty to time our walk back to the MRT and it really took 5 flat minutes.

A view from the flat behind, Blk 141, level 30.

If you wish to see the Marina Bay Coastal area, you would have to choose from blocks 138B, 138C and 139A. If I didn't remembered wrongly the starting price for a 4-room is around 468k.

View at 11th Storey.

Overall, a very nice place indeed with all the conveniences within a few stone throws away. But me and Dear have to really consider given the hefty price tag. Almost half a mil! I wonder out loud: Do we really have to sleep on the streets in a few years time?
