So many things have happened lately

Recently, a colleague of mine informed me last Friday that it was her last day at work. Everyone was shocked as the news was kinda sudden, we were not told beforehand that she was leaving the company.

It's only this Monday that a senior staff told us she was actually dismissed on grounds of dishonesty, and a rather serious one for that! It was rumored that she had forged the CEO's signatures on blank cheques and banked them into an overseas account, all which happened on seperate occassions.

I was taken aback by such news, how could she have done all these alone? To me, she's like any other salaried worker, just that her husband had met with a serious accident some time back and is now recuperating in an overseas hospital. Maybe that's why she's in need of money urgently and thus resorting to such means to obtain it?

An investigation into this matter is already underway and a couple of my lunch khakis were involved. I'm worried that one of them might be implicated as she is the 'closest' lunch khaki of the perpetrator. Hope that she'll be able to pull through this rough period!

As for me, i'm going through some '推拿' theraphy at this shop in Ang Mo Kio Ave 3, called Sunrise, for my back problems which has been pestering me for well over 7 years. At a package rate of $100 for 5 visits, the uncle there will use a short wooden stick to rub and whack on your affected area for a good 15 minutes.

Initially I was reluctant to visit this uncle called Steven as I have tried many means to treat my back, so I wasn't confident this is going to work out anyway. But Mum, my aunt and my cousin has been to this shop for treatment too and they were on the road to recovery, so I thought I should give it a go too.

Even though the process lasts for a mere 15 mins, it was a teeth-gritting, mind blowing thing to endure as my most vunerable points were being grinded against my bones. I was already grimacing in pain and imagine that I had to stop myself from farting cos the pain is really unbearable! But eh, it works! After the 5th treatment I could feel that my lower back is free from the sour, lethargic feeling that has been with me all this while! And I did not feel so tired after a day's hard work. It's quite a miracle!

The only drawback I faced during the treatment period was that I had to refrain from eating chicken, by-products of beans and other sour stuff. Dear was elated when she learnt that I couldn't drink liquor as well as it would immediately bring back the discomfort. But after my treatment, I started to take chicken and Tom Yam, but nothing serious happened. I guess this $100 was money well spent after all.

As for Dear, they had their annual D&D recently, going with the theme 'Back to School'. It was an event well received by the Isetan peeps! Dear was so happy when she sees everyone enjoying themselves. The D&D was such a success that the pictures and vids taken then were already being circulated on the Internet furiously. She deserves a reward yeah?

Kor kor, bring us to the Zoo ok?

Jesus Christ, is that you my dear??
